I am a huge fan of tilt-shift, which is normally used for busy cities and landscapes, so this video breaks the norm and just follows people around during Coachelletta. Coachelletta from Sam O’Hare on Vimeo.
I’ve posted another RSA Animate video before and they are all fantastic. It’s a good way to waste some time to catch their other stuff. I particularly appreciated this one as it’s a topic that comes up a bit in my circle of friends.
Another splendid foreign animation. This time coming from France, this little story tells the tale of a woman who puts her needle to work to try and fix the world. A little darker than most.
An absolutely adorable Japanese animation about a girl who loses her dog and goes on an adventure to find him. Very similar to Miyazaki‘s work, the guy behind Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke.

Making Future Magic: iPad light painting from…
A wonderful collaboration of 3D and 2D graphics paying tribute to the evolution of video games and 3D. It’s a bit long but probably the best quality 3D animation I’ve seen in a while. Definitely turn it on HD if you can.
Boasting itself as the world’s smallest stop motion film, this adorable video was shot using a new lens and technology from Nokia.
This animation is both creepy and and excellent, telling the mad noir-ish tale of a man’s obsession with a delectable treat.
Thanks to Brit for finding this video. I have a soft spot for typography and this video is chock full of clever uses of it, as well as being a nice funky jazz beat.
A very neat video taking you through a Mandelbox, which you can read all about here if you are interested in such an abstract mathematical construct.
