  • Long week

So it’s been a looong week and it’s only going to drag out farther. I spent my weekend staying busy. I went down to my father’s for food and to greet Aaron when he got back from Michigan. He finished up with a 13 hour drive, so he was pretty exhausted. Then I drove up to see Dana and her roommates. I do enjoy their company and think they are a phenomenal group. There was a run-in with their neighbors that eventually lead to name calling and angry tones. Wasn’t very awesome.

  • Role Models – James David Manning Jr. PhD

So I’m not one to talk about politics, and I might take this down before too long, but I think this is just ridiculous. I know by posting this I am fueling his fire for attention, but I think it’s important to listen to people, no matter how crazy they talk, if only for the sake of realizing just how crazy people can be.

This is James David Manning, PhD talking about the Patrick Henry revolution and how the white people are about to riot…. and he’s joining. If you can sit through to the end, he starts singing about 8:30 into it. It’s rather amusing if you don’t take it seriously.

  • Granola Bars and a finish to moderation

Are actually quite delicious. I was re-introduced to these delightful treats. Somehow the world has a different taste now that I’m coke free. Funny how that works. I also noted that I have felt like I have a lot more energy since I’ve quit the substance abuse, as that seems to be the only way to describe my previous relations to the drink. I have recently considered going vegetarian for kicks and giggles. I guess I really just enjoy challenging myself to try new and different things, or should I say lifestyles. I usually don’t do minor changes. I’m usually a big change kind of guy.

  • Carnal relations

So I’ve taken on a few projects now in light of this productiveness that I’ve adopted. One of which is reverting all of our old home videos into DVDs. It’s a fun project and very nostalgic. Unfortunately most of our recent videos disappeared after a fight I had with my mom a long time ago. So most of our videos are in the 91-02 range. It’s still pretty cool and I get to see all my relatives and grandparents I never really knew growing up. It kind of makes me wish that I was actually a social person.

  • Another update

Hello again. Two updates back to back? This is insanity! Didn’t get a chance to stop by the auto store today but last night was quite enjoyable. I hung out with Dana, David, Anni, and Sara and Sabio, Sara’s boy toy at the time. It was a lot of fun and we reminisced on the old days.

The next morning we left for Flying Biscuit and gave Dave a tour of Little 5. I’ve recently made it a point to be a little more willing to participate in things and was willing to listen to anyone who talked to us there. We actually were approached by a Indian monk of Bhagavad Gita, a religion started by Sir Krishna. He showed me a book, about 500 pages thick, which he later left in my hands. It was interesting to hear him talk, and he asked for “donations only” and “every little bit helps” which was promptly followed by “I usually get $20 for these books”. I thought this was a strange approach to donations, so I gave him what I could.

A few other things on the brain. I am about ready to finally get my butt in gear to get my A+ certification. This is something I haven’t talked about in over a year, since I got hired at Pilgrim’s Pride. I’ve been yearning for something new, and I figured this is something that A) will come pretty naturally, B) can only help me in my career choices and C) something I’ve always wanted to do. So I’m currently going through books and practice tests. Unfortunately it costs $200 to take both of the tests, and I’m not even sure just how long before it expires. But it’s on the list.

I’ve been extremely productive as of late. It’s quite strange, but a welcome change.

  • Updates!

So if you are reading this through the site and not through an RSS feed, you will have noticed a lot of changes. I will be fixing the banner up again, but I’m a little lazy right now. Setting all this up was quite a task, but a lot faster than last time. Feeling good about this layout too.

I have a few things to do so I’m going to make this post brief. I was going to Savannah to see my mother this weekend, but as always something comes up. My car’s seat belt decided last night that it didn’t want to work anymore. It locked up and won’t come down at all anymore. I ran around a bit today and unfortunately was not able to get it fixed before close. So I have to do it tomorrow, so my schedule went crazy.

My 3sexy went the road of the infamous RROD. It was a sad night, but I’m not that upset. My family has been surprised at my lack concern to get it fixed immediately. I only play 2 or 3 games on it on a regular basis, and those are always with someone. Ah well.

Lastly, I haven’t had an interest in buying a new piece of technology since I’ve gotten my TV, until just the other day. I’m not sure when it was released, as I’m never really on the cutting edge anymore, but I am quite interested in the Kindle 2. It’s within a reasonable price range finally, but I’m not sure I’m ready to invest. One thing I have mixed feelings about is their choice to go B&W only. I know given the technology and the need to create a screen that doesn’t require back lighting to simulate an actual newspaper, but I’m curious if they will attempt it in the future.

Well that’s about it. I will finish my tangent thought this weekend, promise. Love and turpentine to all.

    What people look for

It’s interesting to see what people search for and what people expect the internet to know.  I am a little astounded by the fourth entry though. That’s a popular search?! That makes me really want to change my pen name to “this popular guy”. Oh yeah baby. You keep searching. I’m ready for you.

There are so many ways this popular guy can get you pregnant baby. Just come a knocking….

    Totally inappropriate.

  • Google? For you?

I will finish the second part to the previous post still, but this was too interesting not to post.

So I got wind that Google Chrome OS is in development. As I don’t read the geekiest online resources these days, this might be old news for some. But I heard it today so I’m posting today.

  • I will take it all

Hello. It’s been a while since my last post. Not as long as my normal absence, but noted nonetheless. I hope everyone is doing delightful. Things have been… interesting.

I’ve been pondering on a thought I have long shunned, due to frustration and what could lead to an eventual revamp of all my morals and principles. So a big one. Now this is a fun little rant I haven’t made in a while, and my sister Dana will be so delighted to hear I’m bringing it back.
