  • This is a Star Wars fan film detailing the adventures of Han Solo and how he got on Jabba’s bad side. The animation quality is fun and while it’s not Harrison Ford voicing Solo, the dialogue is spot on. It’s a definite fan-service and not the most interesting but is pretty good for a 5…

  • That, my friends, is a 3D painting of a girl for a speed bump. From Canadia. In what sounds like a terrifying experience, the girl’s elongated form appears to rise from the ground as cars approach, reaching 3D realism at around 100 feet, and then returning to 2D distortion once cars pass that ideal viewing…

  • While the dialogue and premise are pretty weak, this short 3D animation does have some wonderful color and character design. It’s been a while since I’ve posted a good 3d short. The Monk & The Monkey from Brendan Carroll on Vimeo.

  • Cadbury is putting together a promotion for the London Olympics called Spots vs Stripes. People are asked to choose a side and participate in random activities to collect points prior to the 2012 Olympics. I don’t really care about the contest, but the promo video is pretty funny and well animated.

Another wonderful animation done by a french team. The french are really on top of animation given their quality of art. The imagery used to create this unique world is very appealing, blending painted backdrops with cleverly expressive characters. Do enjoy. Galileo from Ghislain Avrillon on Vimeo.

  • I imagine Modest Mouse – King Rat‘s animation style would have come out like this. This was done by a french group, although it’s spoken in English. Enjoy a little cute in your life. PIRATES!!! “The Curse of the Evil Eye” from Rémy Tornior & Yves Geleyn on Vimeo.

  • So I realize many of you aren’t big gamers and therefore would be unfamiliar with the characters in this cartoon. This an online first person shooter called Team Fortress 2 that is class based. Each class had different abilities and perks. Spies can obviously look like other people, carry knives for stabbing people in the…
