Your WTF for the day – How to Seduce a girl
This is a factual representation of encounters with females and the trick to winning some over.

Elephant VS. Little People – Who Ya Got?!
This was an actual race done in what appears to be a european Mythbusters-esque charade. They somehow managed to convince 40 or so little people to race pulling a jetplane against an elephant. And count how many times the announcer says little people. He is just eating it up.

Your WTF for the day – Placenta Bear (NSFWish, gross)
So this is part of an art exhibit called Doing it for the Kids. It’s supposed to showcase the lastest innovation in toy designs. This is one of the pieces they had. Picture after the jump.
A crafty alternative for those who don’t necessarily want to eat their baby’s placenta, but want to pay their respects to the life sustaining organ by turning it into a one-of-a-kind teddy bear. Green’s ‘Twin Teddy Kit’ ‘celebrates the unity of the infant, the mother and the placenta,’ and enables preparation of the placenta so it may be transformed into a teddy bear. The placenta must be cut in half and rubbed with sea salt to cure it. After it is dried out, it is treated with an emulsifying mixture of tannin and egg yolk to make it soft and pliable. Then, you craft it into a teddy bear. But is this not quite so cuddly creation cute or cringe-worthy? You tell us.

Trashed Idea – Gin and Titonic
I am very pleased with this find and it’s finder, Anna Breedlove, who actually purchased this gift for a friend on Christmas this year. It’s an ice tray that creates the icebergs and ships from the fateful event. Celebrate every party with a fun and quirky reminder of tragic day.

Cinnamon Chasers
I saw this video a bit before earlier this year, and while I was impressed with it the first time, it didn’t quite strike me. After viewing it a second time, I can say the story is very elegant. The music keeps the mood from being too depressing, while still dealing with real life situations. It’s a triple-take on running away from home, and I think it’s beautifully delivered.

Tasty Jams – Modest Mouse "King Rat"
I realize many people haven’t had the opportunity to see this. This was the music video Heath Ledger was working on when he passed away. They had just finished the storyboarding when he passed away and apparently the rest was scrapped. Well a few people that worked on it decided to finish what he had started, giving it rough animatics. While this isn’t Heath’s true vision, it is still something worth watching.

Lucky
A surreal 3D animation with a message about animal cruelty, this video is short and sweet with a very dark mood to it. You might not enjoy it as much as I did.
-
Tasty Jams – The TV show
I have been unable to find a source in English for this video, but it’s really fun and high energy, as well as a solid animation. Do enjoy.

Role Models – Patton Oswalt
So there are tons of videos I could post with Patton Oswalt that are just fantastic, but I did happen upon a rant he has about the “Christmas Shoes” holiday song. I have to admit I am equally pained by this song as Patton. It’s atrocious and he does tear it a new one. Enjoy the video.

Alma
Alma is a 3D short directed by Rodrigo Blass. It’s a little strange, especially given the light-hearted approach, but the quality speaks for itself. All the sounds were perfectly crisp going along with the cleverly constructed 3D designs. It’s won a few awards, and it might not be up for long, so watch it while you can.
