Your WTF for the day – Miss Plastic Pageant
Um…
While many people frown upon beauty pageants and the Western ideal of physical perfection, others aren’t afraid to step up to the stage and show off their looks – real, or not. Hungary has announced the first ever plastic surgery patient, only open to women between the ages of 18 and 30 who have undergone at least one cosmetic procedure that required general or local anesthesia. The Miss Plastic Hungary 2009 pageant is scheduled for October and is designed to be a showcase of the latest plastic surgery techniques and options available in Hungary.
I hate you Ameri-… What? Hungary? Rea-…REALLY? Not America? Bu-… But that just… It’s… Le Sigh. More here.

Role Models – What is a browser?
My buddy Brit showed me this. IT people tend to question the sanity and intelligence of their users. Not always to be condescending, although that is usually the true intent, but in times to figure out how the user’s mind works. Sometimes users are just not understanding. Sometimes they assume they know what you are talking about and try to articulate said intelligence using buzz words. Phrases such as “The memory is broken” is a trendy phrase I’ve heard in my office. A group of people went to the streets asking a simple question. I don’t believe this is even a technical question, in the same manner I don’t find “Name your fingers” an anatomy question. The question was, “What is a browser?” Here are the amazing results.

More Jeffrey Thomas
I posted the Twisted Princesses thing a few days ago. Well, I found another exceptional piece by Jeffrey Thomas, showing that not only is he a talented artist, but has a humor bug lodged somewhere in his cranium. Read and enjoy.

Role Models – Messaging Machine for School in Australia
The video has a written synopsis for this awesome answering machine message. I only wish this was legal in America. I wonder if it’s even legal in Australia. It’s nice to know that lazy parenting is not a singularity in America.

Trashed Ideas – SurvivaBall
The world has become a harsh and desolate place. One company, or a collaboration of companies (depends on how you look at it), has designed the perfect tool to survive even the roughest of ecological changes.
